                   	     ORDINANCE NO. 9521
                  
                  
                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED 7215 LEE
                   HIGHWAY, BEING ON THE NORTHWEST LINE OF LEE
                   HIGHWAY NORTHEAST OF ROBIN DRIVE FROM R-2
                   RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO C-2 CONVENIENCE ZONE, AND
                   SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located at 7215 Lee Highway, being
                on the northwest line of Lee Highway northeast of
                Robin Drive. 
               
                Part of lots 41 and 42, Robin Sterchi Subdivision,
                as shown by plat of record in plat book 15, page
                23, R.O.H.C., being part of the property described
                in deed book 1379, page 158, R.O.H.C.  Said parts
                of lots form one tract beginning on the northwest
                line of Lee Highway 242 feet northeast of the
                intersection of the northwest line of Lee Highway
                with the northeast line of Robin Drive, said point
                being the southeast corner of said lot 41, thence
                northwest 335 feet with the southwest line of lot
                41, thence at a right angle northeast some 220 feet
                to a point 400 feet northwest (if measured at a
                right angle) of the northwest line of Lee Highway,
                thence northeast 124 feet parallel to, and at all
                points 400 feet northwest of, the northwest line of
                Lee Highway to the northeast line of said lot 42,
                thence southeast 400 feet with said lot line to the
                northwest line of Lee Highway, thence southwest 124
                feet with Lee Highway to the point of beginning.

         from R-2 Residential Zone to C-2 Convenience Commercial Zone.
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this rezoning 

         shall be subject to the following conditions:
        
              1.   Erection and maintenance of a sight-obscuring
                   fence along the west line.
        
              2.   All existing easements are retained.
        
              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the 
public
         welfare requiring it.
